i was in charge of the d-bag today at great adventure...the dork bag, which is basically a ziplock bag with a lab printout in it, force-o-meter [read-mass on a rubber band in a tube], accelerometer [tube with beads in it].


too bad it was a washout. bet you've never been on medusa in the rain though. it's fun for the first 15 seconds then its painful.

the first third of it was great since its such an uncommon experience. by the end i had to keep my eyes closed since it was too painful. my ears were really beaten badly by the whole thing.


answers:
1. Do dogs fart or are we imaging the smell?

2. Why is water only slippery on the floor?

1. not being a dog owner i wouldn't know. but i dont see any reason why they can't
2. it's slippery anywhere, we only notice it when we're walking because water reduces friction and we need friction to walk.
3. good question, i've wondered about that one myself. probably started out with pointing and the like then evolved into speech which evolved into language...over a long long long time.

5. we're moving with the world, very very quickly. now if the world stopped rotating, we'd all die from hitting a wall or something. unless you were at the north or south pole...then it would only be a little bump.
