you're a goof.
did you know that cs lewis and jrr tolkien were friends in real life? its only fair that their movies get the same quality of mythological creatures.
Hey. Got your link from Angelus_am_i; looking for SK people. Sounds like you definately need to do less spending and more working to support those habits, hey?
Gin
get it right mate it's The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy: A Trilogy In Four Parts not five the last book was split in 2, I got to meet Doug once cool guy and I love his work. Did you know they made a miniseries out of the books, it wasn't as good as the read but it was funny, Arthur Dent was well played though.
I read all of those Hitchhiker books when I was 10 or 11 and I've been meaning to re-read them for the past couple of years. I'm sure that some of it went over my head, but I remeber them being great, funny books. Enjoy!
Amazon just has the dvds for the series, not the movies themselves. Unless I'm just plain retarded. I've done many retarded things today, so it's possible I'm just missing them. Probably that.
I'm not that depressed all the time, I'm slowly trudging my way out of a deep depression I've had through years. Last april, I made the decision I could recover from it by my own methods without medication. I'm doing well so far, and seeing improvements, but every so often, I still have minor setbacks. But that'll happen. Nothing really that great happens to me, nor really exciting, but as you could probably tell, I've got enough going on that keeps me very entertained and laughing at myself for the real stupid things I get myself into.
yes, breaking one's legs would be a challenge. also included in the adventure was one of those giant rubber tubes. now, with this thing i was able to increase my chances. luckily, i escaped with only a bruised knee.
the only douglas adams book i've read is the long dark tea time of the soul. t'was good.
also, when i was around the age of four, my mom made me a spider man costume. i wore it all the time, even on family outings.
i wonder what my boss would say if i showed up for work wearing a spiderman outfit, and refused to respond to anyone who didn't address me as spiderman?
Well, completing your Spiderman collection is a noble cause.
My dad has a beat-up copy of ASM #9, I'll have to check if he has any other ones from 100 and up.
"Most of my procrastinating stems from my lack of funding to do what I want and my laziness to do what I should."
That describes me to a T.
That said, I broke free of that for today... well... sort of. I applied for a few jobs, but I put off a few menial errands aside, mainly because I didn't feel like walking around with a -50 windchill.
you know... the whole $1000 for Spidey comics thing just sunk into my brain.. it's odd really.. i know i'd be willing to spend thousands on apple memorabilia or something like that but whnever you picture someone spending that same amount of money on something they're passionate about, it seems crazy.. you know?
i'm sorry if i makes no sense... i'm very tired.. and at domo...
I watched the entire two hours of Battlestar Galatica.. It's not awful, but I don't think I'd mind much if I missed the rest of the series, which I think is my plan. It seems to be just like that stupid Stargate shit that needs to die, die, DIE! The first Stargate movie, I love. I've seen it well over 300 times. The series is such a joke these days. Giving Stargate a bad name.
I believe they made one of their members who originally was a male into a chick. Don't know why, I never saw any other series/movie last year.. I was confused as well.
I think I'd take my old friday night line up of Good vs. Evil, Farscape, and Lexx anyday over what sci-fi plays these days. Waaay long ago, okay not so long, do you remember a show called Earth 2? You know what pissed me off? The fact they stopped airing it. They had one committed fan sitting right here. And what, halfway through the first season, they throw it away. That was one of my first original favorites when I got into sci-f channel. I think they had budget problems, not sure, but..god. Why?! I also loved Exposure. I hate sci-fi for removing that as well. I loved those short films to death. And I don't think there are dvds anywhere, I haven't looked yet (just got the idea). God, sci-fi has stopped with all the shows I loved. Wtf.
I love The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. I should re-read it, but I have so much other stuff to read too...damn....and if it makes you feel any better, I bought myself a new computer in early december calling it my birthday present to myself. Two weeks ago I then bought myself a 20 GB Ipod....and I was planning on saving money. Ha.
