Sorry I've been MIA for awhile. Residency just got REAL hard. :-( Dr Ruthless has been doing some inpatient medicine (not my bag at all, baby) at a crappy affiliate hospital. I get to work at 6:30 am and seldom leave before 9:30 pm, 6 days a week. And it is horrible. One more week of this and then....it gets even harder. Because I switch to the night shift. AAAAAAARGH.

I miss you guys.

In 5 weeks I am going to Los Angeles for a week's vacation. I cannot wait. My little trips to L.A. are a chance for me to see all my old college friends from my party days and....well, party. Act like I'm still 19. Last time I went was amazing, so I'm pretty stoked to be going back. Once in a while I need a break from my own life, and my L.A. friends are like another world to me now. Vegetarians, cars, cooler radio stations, devastatingly sexy, dirty, grungy urban sprawl, driving through L.A. at night, parties, cool little dive bars, Huntington Botanical Gardens, Hollywood Blvd, my super-cool friends who grow shitaake mushrooms in their yard, houses, with back yards. I might as well be going on a trip to Mars :-) Significant other doesn't come on these little odyssies, and as much as I love him it's nice to get away and flirt like hell for a week.
