I got tickets to live8 so i did the whole standing in a big crowd thing in Hyde Park. It was both great and a nightmare but un unforgetable combination.
I didn't realise Luther Vandross died, first whitely now this. You know you're getting older when you recognise famed fatalities.
I loved Velvet Revolver even though the crowd we'ren't impressed and scott looked as if he's fallen off the wagon. I loved Maria Carey (not her singing but) the fact that the crowd booed her relentlessly for being a diva and bitch. REM and U2 were good but elton john and snoop really shocked me by being great. I think they really built the atmosphere that carried the day.
The Philly gig looked awesome, we had a feed from all over the world at Hyde Park. I would have loved Faithless to have been at Hyde Park from what i got to see of them.
