We're doing a play called Red Noses. It's a dark comedy about a troupe of clowns during the Black Plague. It's really funny. But also a little depressing. But I think that's the standard for black comedies.

I'm...not so well. Sick sucks. So does other stuff.

Just finished "THe Chosen" by Chaim Potok. One of my books from my high school stash. All about life in WW2 Brooklyn and the friendship between an orthodox and hasidic jew. Part Jewish History, part history of the birth of Israel, part coming of age story, all good!
I love it when a book really sucks you in. Its a fascinating story. Mormons are generally really cool folks, but some people always take it too far! Reminds me of the honor killings that are prevelent in the Middle East.

whoa, thanks for the heads up, I've heard a lot of good and interesting things about Vegas since I told people I was going, I must admit as of now your story is the most bizarre, so kudos to you.

Sorry to hear about your co-worker's abrupt exit. I do have to say I envy him in a way, I never had the balls to just up and leave some place. 2 weeks notice always. Sometimes I just wanted to go, but I always think of the other people. Honestly, I think he wouldn't have been able to leave if he didn't do the way he did, was would have been like peeling a bandage off very very slowly, sometimes it's better just to rip it right off. The Tension will subside eventually, it just takes some time.

So, did you see Saving Silverman yet? I saw that it was on comedy central this past weekend, unless you don't have cable. Doesn't Neil Diamond play in Vegas alot? I think I'd like to see Tom Jones when I'm out, if I can. I think that would be bitchin, he's kinda quiet idol for me. blush

Well, be safe, and drink oj, and think happy thoughts. If you have a positive attitude then it'll eventually rub off on everyone else. smile

hey everyone -
thanks for writing. i promise i'll write everyone back personally on my next day off - tues. i just have a moment to say a few words - then it's off to decorate the christmas tree, wash the dishes, pack my lunch and read my book in preparation for starting a new week.
so, got my ears pierced last week - 10 gauge - i want to stretch them to a/b a 0 gauge. it'll probably take a year, but at least i got started.
i've done some christmas shopping. still don't know what to get fo rmy dad. why are men so hard to shop for?!?
i'm STILL sick! this makes 2 weeks. i cultured my throat at work and the lab girl tested it - it's strep. but i don't have time to go to the doctor, and i feel mostly ok. i just hope i'm not infecting everyone else at work.
so, my best friend, skyy wants us to go to burning man next year to celebrate our 30th birthdays. has anyone been? what's it like?
ok, off to decorate.
cheers,
vega
