Congrats to @wolfwood1203 - I know how hard it is to keep going to the end of a book, as my first novel came out this year, too. And dystopian sci-fi? Sounds like my cup of tea! š¤š¼
Agreed - Iām deep into @wolfwood1203 ās book and it is excellent. Skilfully written, with intelligence, depth and heart. His post-apocalyptic Earth is beautifully imagined and the characters are compelling. It is alive with meaning and has a lot to say about solitude, isolation and the deep value of connection.
@eminerale if you like it, I know I will. I need to get back in to reading and this will be the first book I finish in a long time. It will be worth it.
@wolfwood1203 Mine's an adventure horror set in the middle east, which started from something that really happened to my friend when I lived in Turkey - an old widow put a djinn curse on him. Scary stuff! š± It's called Shadow of the Hidden! š»
@wolfwood1203 No need to love me, I just know how hard things can be sometimes. I know we haven't really spoken to each other but I relate to things you've said. Love yourself, let yourself be proud of this achievement and stop beating yourself up. I know it's easier said than done, it's time to value yourself and think "Yeah, I've got this." Also, when you don't have it in you to think that way, you'll have your supportive friends to remind you.
