I wanted to write a blog, but wanted to wait a little bit to be able to express myself. We all know of the goings on lately, so I won't get into it. But, one good thing that has come from everything is the creation of a Model Council. I have been asked to be a part of this council, where we will discuss matters and try to build SG into a community where everyone feels heard and safe. The council involves models and photographers from all over the world, and I feel there is a great range of humans that will help to create discussion and promote the change needed.
I understand it's a bit confusing right now, and you may not want to go to @penny or @missy etc. I'd like to say that I am a safe space, and you are more than welcome to come to me with any queries or concerns. I will then put them to the model council for discussion.
SG has truly given me so much. A community where I feel I finally have somewhere I belong. I understand some haven't had the same experience I have, and I want to help change that. I truly don't know where I would be if it were not for this website and my fellow models that provided a safe space and shoulders to cry on, people to talk to.
