I cannot go into the most RECENT falling for someone...that hurt so bad. Still miss her tons. I might cry.
There was one once when I was 21....my first love. It was absolutely blissful and even tho I am looking thru the rose colored glasses of "first love", I still think she was IT for me. Left me for another woman. I could handle that, I didn't have the right parts. But just never seeing her again? That hurt me for a seriously long time. Put me into therapy.
We recently reconnected over the internet/phone after 13 YEARS. Time heals all wounds. It was great hearing from her. There was closure. She is married. Unhappily. Secretly, I am happy. But the "grown up me" says....either way.....move on!
Once, I started wearing only earth tones to impress a hippie-painter chick in college. On Christmas she brought cookies to my front door and told me "Being in love is a lie and a scandal". I still think about her when I wear my one brown sweater, even though she moved away and went crazy.
