man...I realized it has been almost two whole weeks since my last update, and I can't whine about not getting any comments on my page if I never update it. Just for the record, the tragedy of the elections (which I feel we should just start refering to as 11/2 until it catches on with that same annoying tenacity as the now nearly universal "9/11"), is not my reason for not having updated. I am not so weak as to let that get me so depressed as to quite communicating with the outside world. Although admittedly I am now going to be more cautious of who I befriend in the world after seeing how much of the map is covered with red.
Oddly enough however, I was somewhat comforted to see that the Libertarian and Green Parties have teamed up to demand a recount in Ohio. At least somebody is willing to put up a fight. Afterall, that is what it is going to take, fighting this "new" regime at every turn in order to remind them that their margin of victory was not so great as to allow them to walk all over us.
Aside from all the politcal hoopla, my life has been full and fun as of late. I found out that my friend who was to be sent out to Egypt (see previous post) reported to base for training, and they had lost his medical records. They (the National Guard) were then forced to re-test him, and....HE FAILED!!! due to a bad knee. Thus, he will not be getting shipped out. Happy days indeed. Also, I have had loads of fun with my French company who left just Friday morning...now however, I am looking forward to a little peace and quiet.
I am sure that there is a lot of things that I am leaving out, but I will just have to be better about posting more regularly in the future...
