Yea, wow, I can't sit still for more than a few seconds at a time.....

Did your formulas come in handy for finding that book?
saintbrat:
Did you see the latest Nova about Archimedes? It shows that he had figured out how to get the volume of a curved sapce within a triangular prism by using a series of infinite spaces!

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/archimedes/palimpsest.html

You have to gid around in the infinite stuff to read about his treatment of infinity, but the site I gave you had some cool stuff on the document it was found on.

Yea, I like the cloth tattoo. I think I will put a SG logo on the back. (I would call it embroidery, but that sounds too girly! lol)

with nothing to distract you from yourself... sounds good... but then there is a dust bunny to play with, or a nail to bite, or the walls start to close in on you and you are traped in this ever shrinking expance, getting closer and closer but never touching, traped... vision shrinking to nothing, brain on overload, last breath, heart not working... then looking at the clock and finding that only 25 seconds have passed. where was i going? robot
evanx:
Those damn gnomes...... biggrin

You only have 1 of yourselves? How boring. Well, if you'd ever like to borrow some of my yourselves, I only charge a nominal fee... surreal

A good point. Maybe indeed thats what makes it scary. Me, Im usually too impatient with myself- hence I dont sit in zazen often at all. The couple of times that I actually made it past the "gawd I cant bloody concentrate" state were amazing though. But usually I find that the form of meditation that suits me best is a physical one- the budo arts work very well.

Thanks man! I realy like it too... i guess that is a good think as it's kinda there to stay... wink
