I look around and all I'm seeing is a lot of fear, anger, and flat out toxic levels of hate... hate for neighbors, hate for friends, in some case hate for family... just because people voted differently. Have we really gone so far from our national values that we've forgotten as a nation that our strength is in our diversity, our diverging opinions and ways of thinking and living? That in spite of our differences we will still come together when times are toughest and stand up for and protect each other and the individual rights of one another regardless of a lack of personal gain? Have we fallen so far from the people we were always suppose to be to become the very thing that will destroy our own way of life?
Is it our intention to dishonor the sacrifices of the very people that on this day, November 11th, we are suppose to be honoring and thanking?
The people we should be honoring and thanking every day of the year, but in recent years have instead been disrespecting and some people have even gone so far as to flat out discriminate against and willfully insight others to discriminate against?
On this our national day of honoring our Military Veterans. The people who gave up so much of their life for the dreams of liberty and freedom, and the promise of honor and respect, only to be betrayed and abandoned by the very people who were suppose to help them get the care they needed after their careers had ended, when all they want to do is live a peaceful life. The men and women who have felt so much disdain from the nation that they tried to serve as best they could given the circumstances they found themselves in.
On this day we must stop, and take the time to offer our thanks... our thanks for the sacrifices they have made, and sacrifices so many of them are still making now. We must take the time to honor these men and women, and offer our support, not just today but every day of the year..
Not just here in the USA, we as a world people must remember to HONOR and SUPPORT the military veterans of our respective nations. They know better than the rest of us, the character of the governing body that handed down their marching orders, and offer promises of the "benefits" they can expect to "enjoy" and these men and women have fallen victim to the priorities of these governing bodies more than most. These are the times in which we must come together and stand up for each other, we can not allow our differences to be used to divide us and set us against each other.

and honor them every day, not just for their service, or their sacrifices, but for simply being men and women worthy or honor and respect.
