The Deadman's Tales: The origin of the Deadman 8866.
Wasn't long ago that this question came to me about how the hell did I get this handle. And who in their right mind would be called "the Deadman". And what with the numbers 8866? Well to tell a long story short, it started when I was a boy growing up in El Paso,TX. On a visit to see my father's parents in Decatur,GA. They had a summer plantation they bought from a previous own who, was down his luck. So during the visit a young girl got abducted from across the river where she lived. During the event, my grandpa told me the story of an old hotel where people were report to be found dead when they visited the place. Or their bodies were found in the rooms of the hotel. Funny thing is, they never went to the place. So I decided to investigate these strange goings on for myself. That's when I met "the Stranger". A real old man my grandpa was a demon or the Devil himself in the flesh. I met him and took on his son in a bare-knuckles fight that killed me. But only my body. When I woke up from the beating, I was changed. I didn't have any fear. I was strong as a bull-dozer. I asked him about the girl: her name as Terra. He laughed at me and said " never you mind, you work for me now"! That's when I punched him through about the length of fifty yards. (Remember, I was only a kid about ten years old). His son and me fought out side of the old hotel named the Undertow Inn. Down through town square and up the street where my family had found me. When it was over and I beat him down within an inch of his undead life. I inquired about Terra, they had her hid in a shack just around the back of the hotel. She was a little worst for ware but OK. As I left the town I still felt different than before. More powerful inside and out. I never seen the Stranger again, but when my father had taken a good look at me, he himself noticed that I was different, too. But there's more to this story. But I don't wanna waste this blog page explaining everything.
