As stated in my previous journal entry, my eldest rat Ecco died on Tuesday. She was two years old and very much an elderly rat. She had been sick for the past week and was on her deathbed. I've been expecting her death so it's been emotionally easier for me because I was already prepared for it.

So in my state of mind, I decided to head back to Indiana this weekend to spend time with my friends in Terre Haute. While I am there I will get to see my best friends. We're also going to bury Ecco. My rat Erin and her child Katie will get to play with Erin's other children Marci and Mable.

The weekend will be a good time and I will stay very busy. -Dave
