I am so glad to read this!!! I am going through hell at my job, and want to quit more than anything. Mind you I have also had a million jobs and this is by far the best. Statisticly!! And I want to quit and become a waitress, a big step back. Like you said I dont want my job to consume my life when I need to concentrate on other things. If I am a waitress I go to work and leave unlike the job now with tons of responsibility. Everyone seems to think I am crazy, and should just keep my job. Something tells me you would agree my sanity is more important. Any Advice??? Take care have a good day!! Good luck with the cashier job! kiss

i'd love to hear your book-on-tape thing!

Procrastination in writing is essentially the only thing I'm a real natural at. wink Putting together all your notes into a project is a brilliant idea though! Good luck with that and with the new job!

geez I totally can relate on how you feel about working in an enviroment like that, I just need to guts to leave. It seems like most places are filled with people unqualified and too many cheifs not enough indians kinda deal. But kudos to you and your book, doing something you enjoy at the same time. wink Plus I work in the grocery store hun, it's going to get boring pretty fast, you'll get that beeping sound in the your head at nights from scanning up people. haha
mercedes:
what's your degree in?
renji:
well it's retail, your going to deal with crabby costumers, probably no different from working at the boutique
trahern:
Grr, called to dinner and now I can't remember what I was going to say. Remind me later.

Good luck, i sure wouldn't want to be a casher again. I did the Wal-Mart job for 3 years during college, I was in sporting goods so I did not run a register all day, just when we checked out our customers, but I sure hated all the bitchy people.
