If you want it to be it is. But, it may also be part of why you're "disinclined to liking other women" Maybe the other women you know aren't powerful. I myself don't like the "I'm a weak woman, pity me" mentality either so maybe, that's the kind you know and it irritates you as it does me.

i tired watching the black dalia and only made it about half way through... maybe i'll try watching it again, it was just a little slow moving for me i guess!
yeah...actually i do know (and love) Stan Rice. I'm honored that you hear an echo of him in my work. I've had a hard time finding his books, but what i have read, i've loved. was quite sad to hear he'd passed.
i love noir too, but was rather disappointed with black dahlia. it may have been that i didn't pay enough attention...but i think it's more likely because i dislike...most of the cast.
