Actually, footy's getting a fairly big following in the states, nowadays, so you may even get to watch some matches on the box! How long dya think you'll be in Philly? I guess if you're running a bar it'll be a while. Good luck with it. If I ever get jack of it all here, I'll come over and work the bar for ya! 3 years in the King and Queen in the West End taught me a fair bit and I did love it!
England 3-1 Spain, Rooney, Jenas and Lampard (Raul) that's my ill-informed guess! Stevie's played in a reserves match already and he's back for the Middlesbrough game on Satdy so fingers crossed
Trailer IS awesome! I bought it ages ago, maybe 98? but fucked off around the world for 5 years so I've only just got into it in the last year or so (among all the other albums that I've had to catch up with!).
Let me know how ya get on. The states are overrated by yanks but underrated by the rest of the world! I had a ball when I was there.
Rob
P.S. Mort and Filth are excellent. Dunno anything about your other faves but Pratchett and Welsh are always good.
I just spent fckng ages typing out posts to you and my journal and several emails when this piece of shite computer crashed AGAIN!!! I can't wait for tomorrow... (treating myself to a new PC!)
I think you're at the perfect age for travelling. Not too young and dumb and not too old and decrepit! Make sure you see a shitload while you're over there. When I first started travelling, the sound of an Aussie accent made me cringe for ages. After a few years, though, it made me feel homesick! That might be a good way to tell when you've been away too long
Gotta say, I laughed hard when Kewelly scored on Sunday. Well done, my son. Back on track... I reckon we'll do well against Olympiakos as it's at Anfield and Baros will hopefully be playing. Gerrard will be 10x fitter than last week, too. Gotta win by 2 clear goals, though, and Olympi aren't pushovers so it'll be a tough match, me thinks.
Coupla pages that might interest you. I suppose you already know of this but just in case... He cracks me up Robbo and Cisse's leg Pretty dicey, that one. All hail Mark Waller and Ewood med staff!
BTW, where do you access the web? Cybercafe, work? How much time do you have to check the web etc? I'll limit my posts to a few concise, relevant and witty comments if you're pressed for time/convenience/whatever!
Heard of Camus but not Kundera. Will check them out soon.
Cheers
definitely. i was bloody ecstatic when it went in. i think it could be the turnaround our season needed, much like mcallisters winning derby freekick in the treble season.
Carn the Reds!
