Wow! You journal was very deep today. I liked it.

The Darkness was okay they only played three songs, which sucked because I was left wanting so much more.

Most everything in the apartment is red, so I am a sucker for coordnation so I buy black cheery candles and any other candles that come in that dark red. At K-Mart MS has these really nice cranberry citrus candles and Pier 1 has these Island Orchid candles. I love candles.

good to know that some people go through with things, while others just let them drive on past.

It all worked out. The wait was like an hour and her husband seriously gets violent when he can't eat right away so we went somewhere esle.

i didn't write it! i wish. it's by peter gabriel, from the lamb lies down on broadway. i've been waxing nostalgic for a very old skool.

your journal entry is so thoughtful. i like: "If you want to be whole, let yourself be partial." this makes sense when you consider the compassion it takes to be partial to all sides at the same time. it's like the glass half empty/full theory of wholeness (a wise old theory that i just made up - ha!).

I really liked your journal entry. It reminds me of one of those life lessons that's so hard to learn yet so easy to forget - the harder you try to become something, the more it eludes you. Just be.

As for your question, I haven't gotten anything published yet, though the paper that I mentioned is one of three that are in various stages of trying to get accepted. It's a long and frustrating process. Is it much the same in the world of liberal arts?

Hah, i don't drink anymore, use to be a hobby of mine!!!

Thanks, glad you like my entries. smile

What's your book about? Knowing how difficult it is to get articles published, I can only imagine what it's like for an entire book. So true about politics in publication...

I liked your John Kerry commentary. Maybe I'll check out his website, I don't have a really good feel for his positions on a lot of issues.
