Work is hell.
Our main server location is down here at work. Nearly all business is stopped, and I'm at the ass end of it.
A fiber optic cable somewhere in Maryland is cut, and the man-hole they need to get into is flooded! This has been going on all day, since at least 7:30.
My staff is Maryland is doing everything they can to get it working again. I'm lucky I have a pretty good team. in the mean while I'm calling local support specialists, authorizing lots and lots of money to be spent, talking to phone carriers, dealing with 35 angry site managers, and just generally being insane.
On the upside, because i cannot access ourr servers, (including corporate email) there's little actual every-day work I can do. So in between the times when I'm waiting for call-backs, and further verbal abuse, I am able to log onto SG, make silly forums posts, and look at half naked girlies!
