Hey Tony
Sounds like things are working out, but your at that point everyman (well almost) dreads. Your not 100% sure where you stand. It's a dilemma which I usually avoid. Seeing that it is Valentines Day I don't see why red roses wouldn't be fine. If your are unsure try sending white roses, which apparently signafies friendship, but it can mean more. A teddy bear can make a cool gift as well. Remember each girl is different and it is basically how you present it and how they feel that would say if the gifts in question are to much or to soon.
Makeovers arggghhh (I already posted in your makeover post) hey are probably worse than the rose situation. There is nothing worse than trying a new look. I fucking hate trying something new. I question if it's the right look for me if I look right in it. Make overs and new looks make me quesy. I'm sure it makes all men feel the same so don't sweat it. There are certain stores where sales people are mad cool and will help you odd in choosing the right look or give you some suggestions. Once you find the clothes you like and get comfortable with all feelings of geekiness (not sure if thats a real word) will fade away.
When all else fails find the Queer eye dudes and force them at gunpoint to make you over. Good luck and godspeed.
It's sort of comforting to me that you've met your crush (why do I feel like winking everytime I say that?) online. I actually met my boyfriend online.. about five years ago. (Which means I was 14/15 when I met him, woo.)
Anyway, reguarding your post! Yes, it's a good sign that she bought something for you, it means she's thinking of you. At least, that's what it meant when I bought something for my guy.
Personally, I'd prefer a stuffed animal (or something equivelant) over roses. And it's harder to go 'overboard' with a stuffed animal, if that makes sense, too. Most people would appriciate a stuffed animal from just a "good friend," as well. I'm a bit off from the typical female mind, though. So I don't know if you should be listening to me.
And I'm off to hunt down the Fab Five for you. I think I could use their help, too.
Glad I could be of some help. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me. You're lucky, my fashion advice usually costs a pretty penny.
Haha.. the Fab Five! My dad keeps saying that's he's going to create Straight Eye for the Queer Guy. What he'll do for an hour on television is beyond me...
Anyway, I was reading your post on the boards, and I forget who, but someone said something about jeans and a black sweater. I think a white button-down with the sweater over it would look tres magnifique!
not marine short but maybe less than an inch all the way around. if you wanted you could tell them to cut it real choppy and wear it kinda spikey and messy, you'd need a pomade for this. from the pictures i'd say you definitely want to cut the back shorter. or you can go the other route and use a number one guard all the over that would also look cool. but it needs to be alot shorter. girls prefer shorter hair anyway. they say it makes a man look more compitant. whatever that means.
You're welcome. I think red roses are kind of trite for V-Day. Flowers are good, but maybe a different color or type would be a refreshing change of pace. Good luck!
i agree with clara on the red roses front. red roses are (1) cliche'd, and (2) a bit much for someone you're just meeting.
perhaps an iris, or some sort of rare flower would be good to give her, in a non-imposing color (not blood red, for instance).
and no problem on the makeover advice. i love going shopping with my boyfriend (who is six foot five, and not a slight fellow) and picking out clothes for him. i bought him a pair of jeans a while back, and he wears them all the time.
if you're a bit bigger than you want to be, don't go with faded jeans, you don't want to draw attention to that area, you want to go with darker jeans which are perhaps "distressed" in key areas. (note: not the crotch)
Hey Tony! No snow down here.
So I rented Cabin Fever last night. I keep telling myself that I won't watch scary movies when I'm alone in the house, but then I don't listen to my own advice. Bad idea.... I got a shower afterwards and actually gave myself a once over to make sure that no patches of skin were rotting off. Eww.
