When I got my scrotum pierced, I used Tea Tree essential oil, and Anti-Bacterial soap in the shower. Never had any problems, just took a while to heal.
I use H2Ocean for all my piercings. My monroe was the first piercing to ever give me a problem. Not so much on the jewelry end, but the little flap of tissue that tried to grow over it on the inside of my lip. I got so frustrated I almost cut it off. I'm glad I didn't it went away.
And don't worry to much about the ball. You can buy those packs of them in the store and use the itty ones. That's what I prefer too. I hope it ends up coming out okay.
I have no ideas on piercings. I cleaned mine with phisohex and it stung like a bitch!
Had my gall bladder out and it had to be done old school surgically with the big incision b/c I let it go too long. But I'm feeling some better. Have my sister to help me with the kid while the wife is at work so it's all good.
