With the ever increasing social acceptance of tattoos, and I suppose to some degree the decrease in associated taboo (if that's the right phrase) of images that are sensual/sexual in nature, I still worry about mentioning Suicide Girls to females other than my girlfriend... Should I be?
Having various tattoos myself and been into Suicide Girls for many, many years, I have no problem in discussing tattoos, pictures, blogs etc. with her, as she knows for me, it not about the sexual content that others may think.
The female form is a beautiful thing, regardless of shape, size, colour and using it as a canvas, in my eyes can be an intimate expression of ones personality.
If someone I know has a tattoo, I'm very interested to know if it has a meaning or significance, to see the detail that has gone into it, to know who did it, how long did it take, what others they have, are they getting anymore, everything, it all interests me!
I suppose my question is, should I be as open about my interest in tattoos with other people as I am with my Girlfriend? I'm not saying that I want to ask people I’ve only just met if they can take their clothes off so that I can have a look at their art, but I wonder how you guys are with others?
Are you open with everyone, or do you have different circles of friends, some that you do talk to about it, others that you never say a word to?
