I feel really lonely tonight. I guess I don't have a lot of time by myself generally. When I'm alone during the day, its nice. I find I get more things accomplished, the house is tidier and I don't tend to waste half the morning refusing to get out of bed. But at night I hate being alone. Eating dinner by myself is never as good as sharing it. I think that out of all the meals, dinner is the most social. And then because its winter here, its cold. Since I'm the only one here, I can't justify switching on the heater. Right now I'm in bed... I'll go to sleep just as soon as my body heat has warmed up the sheets a bit more. I hate sliding into a cool bed on a cold night. My kitty is sick and is peeing everywhere so she can't keep me company either. I miss warm purring fuzzballs.
For the past few months I've been wearing those fake plastic nails. Two fell off today so I think its a sign. They were fun while they lasted, and very pretty too! I got them natural looking (not those scary square-ended nails) but they make the natural nail sore when they fall off so its probably time for a break.
I'm quite worried about the next semester of uni. I have such a workload coming my way and I cannot afford to fail anything. All of the subjects are integral for my progression onwards. Ugh. I feel like I've painted myself into a wall a bit, there's no way to pick easier subjects... but I couldn't have gotten any of these classes over with before now either! Agh. I suppose I should start revising things soon.
This journal is a bit wandering... But in my defence it is very cold.
I am so excited, a fabulous someone who will remain anon bought me this book off my wishlist: The Intimate Adventures of A London Call-Girl. And before you ask, no I'm not considering a career change. I just find them so oddly fascinating. Prostitutes that is. Wnenever I'm in the red-light district I'm always glancing around at them, trying to get a better look... they live in a world that is so different. I've always been intrigued. I know the names of several high-class local brothels. I like to lurk their websites. I'd love to design a brothel one day. Haha, maybe I'll do it as my end of university project? Somehow I don't think my lecturers would consider it 'real architecture'. Their loss I suppose. In 30 years time, the 'innovations' they design today will be kitsch as well I bet.

I find your facination with prostitutes and brothels very interesting. Good luck with your endevors to design your brothel. I would love to see the finished product. I have also met a few prostitutes, and they do not seem very much different than anyone else. I should check out the book though. They may be different in other places.
