surlymike:
Ahh, muttonchops: that, my friend, is the sign of a real man.

(i.e. I can't grow them!)

Time to go get the Indian food. love
jody:
Great pics! The guy with the muttonchops is really cute. blush
I wish I was having as much fun as you!
faceforradio:
Your husband has cute bandmates. . . haha.

The doggies are being particular sweet and timid lately. My little brownbear knows I'm upset with her. She normally follows me everywhere and does her best to be right on top of me in a dog-on-girl cuddle puddle, but it's even worse now that she's seen my gnarled hand.
shellymc:
Nobody puts CorpHo in a corner!
sorry... i couldn't help myself..
your hubby is cute wink
holagatita:
ShellyMC is correct, your hubby is cute! Does he have an adorable Irish accent to go with those sideburns?

I can honestly say I really like Spielefrau, but that's not too surprising, since I like Joy Division, Bauhaus and Echo & the Bunnymen. Will you get to join them for any part of their Russia tour?!
surlymike:
Is Indian food in Ireland dissimilar to that served in the US? Perhaps I'm obsessing too much on one aspect, but I do wish that we had a universal standard for vegetable biryani.
holagatita:
Irish accents kick ass!
*Supposedly* my mom has a Scottish accent, but *I* certainly can't hear it!
My Australian aunt says "ah, that's magic" when she really likes something. smile

I LOVE Mulholland Drive!! It could possibly be my favorite Lynch movie.
Have you seen The Straight Story? So different for him, yet still has his touch all over it. Really great film!

rabidus:
looks like fun!
shellymc:
Lavinia (Vinny) is a girl!
my tuxedo kitty that is...

also i don't have a burmese...i have a javanese (which really is a redpoint balinese)
his name is Eechy...
and he is a total manwhore.
how many cats do you have anyway?
i have four...
and if i was single, i probaly would qualify as the crazy cat lady.
i'd like to have more, but i don't own my own home, and i'm afraid of pushing
the limits with my two oldest cats...
they would probably get pissed off at me and start pissing all over the place.
surlymike:
What an excellent bit of serendipity to see how much of an effect David Lynch was having on us in recent days! You know, I still have never seen The Elephant Man or Dune---have you?

And thanks for the much-appreciated detail in answering my question about Ireland's Indian food. I wish that more people responded to questions as thoroughly. But, then, there's only one CorpHo, right?! biggrin
shellymc:
i did see "gray gardens"....
kind of depressing...
i never understood the whole mentality of cat colllectors...
why try to save so many if you can barely afford to really care for them?
i have to deal with that shit on a daily basis working for a vet.
so many people have pets that can't afford their health care and it just pisses
me off!
i'm poor white trash... but even i have a credit card put aside for animal
emergencies...
plus working for a vet, i get a fairly nice discount biggrin
surlymike:
You couldn't be a crazy cat lady? Are you sure?
surlymike:
I do so enjoy your replies. I put forth half-assed sentiments all over the place, but you flesh it out far more successfully. Oh, wait...am I complimenting you? Mustn't have that!

I've been told The Elephant Man is depressing...which doesn't surprise me. Hmm, is there any other Lynch must-see that I've missed?
holagatita:
lol, I said one month, but if you think you can get all that accomplished, then you go little rock n' roll girl!

To jump in on your comment to Mike, I felt the same way about The Elephant Man, but I saw it many many years ago, and I think I need to see it again, now that I'm older and wiser. tongue
I remember parts just being so bone-crushingly sad.
surlymike:
Either that guy in the photo is a sweet-natured goofball or the creepiest of the weirdos in the park. No in-between!
willowcellardoor:
Aww your husband is so cute! The keyboard player is lovely! wink

Oh and, about the dark pictures, yeah the photographer probably used photoshop to lighten them, however they look really amazingly clear and all, I would say he possibly used a longer exposure but that would have blurred things a lot. I'm a photography major and should totally know this, but I'm a bit stumped. However, the keyboard player is still lovely!
afterbirth:
Ahhh.
Look who's back.
Who paid up?
Maybe you should promote FRENCH as well.
I'm calling you later.
pastura:
okay, so then you must be an expert on the drumming face. what's with that????
surlymike:
You're back! blush
surlymike:
Oh, wait...you're just an impostor. The *real* CorpHo is funny! biggrin
shellymc:
Welcome back! kiss
shellymc:
you stink up the joint?

naahh...
if anything you liven it up biggrin
surlymike:
You wouldn't stink up the joint...unless, of course, you had chili the night before.
afterbirth:
That's all fine, but don't forget the wrath of winter....

And as far as visiting us, you should pick out a cheap flight when you guys can come up and we'll work around it.
Summer's passing us by though.
It's gonna be too cold for the swimmin hole.
At this point I would almost say (but not quite) that you should wait till winter, and go skiing with us.
Or sledding.
Or skating.
But Fall is really nice, too.
Just no swimmin.
And the nice part of Fall ends around Halloween.
