So I did visit Jay in Colorado, it was lots of fun. We went hiking in the mountains and it was beautiful. We also went to some neat hippie towns near where he lives.
Work is going fine, I've been working about 35 hours a week lately. I'm trying to save moneyfor real now since I didn't for the past few months, so now 25% of my paycheck goes into my newly re-opened savings account.
I'm still hanging out with my friend Austin a lot after work.
I'm taking a week off from exercising because most weeks I work out like 5 days a week, and when you do that often you're supposed to take a break every now and then.

For bank accounts I have taken a liking to discover bank and ally financial - both are virtual banks (online and via phone access only, no branches) so the rates are a bit better vs traditional accounts. Not by that much but still a little bit helps.
I'm more disappointed with the way that I was told my services were no longer needed at my job than the fact that it happened. Hopefully it will all work out for the best - I have interviews lined up and will be eligible for unemployment so things are at least decent.
