I'm considering adding some other things to my life. Well, things I've wanted to do for a long time, I just have to get up off my ass and do them. I have a bad habit of staying in with the kitties and watching DVDs or reading, and staying in with friends when we hang out. Well... when I lived in the DC area, I had more friends that liked going out to clubs and such. But most of my friends in the Philly area prefer to stay in when we hang out. I like both; depends on my mood.
On the list of things to start doing is:
-Joining a lesbian book club. I went to one meeting, a long time ago, and I loved it. Since then, I have been too lazy to return. But I need to meet some women, man, and I love to read.
-Volunteering at an animal shelter.
-Joining the choir at my Unitarian Universalist church.
-Getting out to bars and clubs in the Gayborhood more often than once in a blue moon.
And... I am already taking dance classes. Monday nights are African Dance with live drumming, and soon to start will be a Sunday afternoon pole dancing class. I am very excited about that!

I've become quite the stay at home gal recently. Most of my friends do the bar scene and there is a huge community of lesbians hitting bars but it's too much of a feeding frenzy for me. Instead I work all day, come home, make dinner, play with the kitty, read and watch movies with my girl when she gets home.
For fun, I go to new restaurants (we have found some AWESOME places in the area for sushi), rock climbing and I'm actually going to African Dance next week! I can't wait!
A lesbian book club sounds like the ticket though, good luck!
PS I just remembered my new favorite thing to so is go to the lesbian coffee shops! It is sooo much fun, I just check email, read, chill and it's just a sweet safe space with hot ladies that are actually interested (not that I would go for it, happily taken, but it's fun anyway)! Come visit Brooklyn!
