Tell him you're interested in him but if he's going to pull this BS on you then you're not going to be interested. Then move him into the "back up guy" category and move on.
well, he knows I like and care about him but he's still showing interest a bit I guess. We've talked a little about it, but not really since he figured out I want to date him. So I'm waiting to see how the next few days go, because he's having his birthday party at my house this Saturday
Sounds as if he may just be getting his cake and eating it, without having to pay the bill. Just be sure he isn't just using you. Could be as simple as he is afraid to commit due to a past issue or he may be just to into himself to think of what you may want. In the end, just take your time.
