"The qualification, like being able to shoot a gun, ride a horse and run far and fast and the other miscellaneous qualities that would apply to the male warriors were the same for women. The training process was such that essentially everybody had the same training but with different emphasis. Everybody was supposed to know how to do everything, whether they do it or not. So, the men would need to know how to cook and sew because there might be an occasion when they would need to do that. Women would need to know how to ride horses and follow tracks. Some women would be particularly skilled at things like following tracks or shooting or running. They wouldn't be discouraged from doing it, but they wouldn't necessarily be encouraged."
