Oh my, oh my, where to begin. I finally got into Seattle last night. I had a ticket to see Doug Martsch of Built To Spill, and Ugly Cassanova which is fronted by Isac Brock of Modest Mouse, the show was at 8 so I decided to get there at 830. I got there and there was hardly anyone there. The first act had not even played yet, so I got to work getting my drink on. Jack and Coke it was. As it turns out Ugly Cassanova did not play, instead James Mercer of The Shins played a solo Acoustic set which kicked ass. He came on stage at about 10 and played for an hour. Mike Johnson former member of Dinosaur Jr. played next plugged in with a full band. I like his music but it is very Leonard Cohen esque, kinda made me sleepy, but I kept the drinks flowin'. Doug got on stage around 12 and played until 130 or so, as always it was amazing. His new solo acoustic blusy album comes out oin the 17th. I am always one to preach against drinking and driving, I never have problem volunteering to be designated driver, but last night I was on my lonesome, and had 10 or more Jack and Cokes, don't remeber the drive home, ther was food from Taco Bell on the coffee table this morning, that I don't remeber getting. Bad Me!!! I had not been out in a long while. If I had been closer to home I would have cabbed it, but it would have been a bill from Seattle to Tacoma, of course I could be dead or have killed someone. I won't do it again. I did have fun though. I am wiped out, Had to work at 9 this morning, the 1 installer I have had tix for Dave Matthews at the gorge this weekend so I was bymyself installing all day with a massive hang over and a bunch of problem cars, but I digress. I need to go have a smoke, take a shower and pass the fuck out!!!
