It seems like forever since I've updated here. I guess that's because it has been.
Lots has happened since my last update...
I got engaged in 2013... wedding keeps getting postponed due to finances. I got into a hit & run car accident which caused my insurance carrier to list my car as totaled, thus forcing me to drop money on a car so I could get to and from work. My fiancé had to have abdominal surgery and now we're working on paying off those bills. Hopefully we can make a fresh start in putting money away at the beginning of the year.
My side job doing video work for the LA Kings appears to have come to an end after 14 seasons. They hired an intern to help out the past video coordinator last year because he was wining the entire 2013-14 season about how he needed help doing his job (when no other person in that position ever needed it before) and even though that coordinator has been fired, it seems the intern is still on staff (probably under a contract because that's how they mostly do things). That extra money sure is going to be missed. Especially right now with the medical bills we're trying to knock out. At least I got to see the team win 2 Stanley Cups and be present in the coaches' office off the locker room for the final game of the last win.
Got a minor promotion at my regular job and put on the board of directors, plus the person who was my boss got demoted and someone else was given her position which has been both good and bad at the office. Good - I don't have to put up with her shit anymore. Bad - she's acting like a 5 year old and causing undo stress in the office we're still trying to deal with 1.5 years after the demotion. It's pretty ridiculous.
My 17 year old niece had a baby recently. Yeah, that was a shocker to the family, but everyone is offering all their support and helping her earn her high school diploma.
That's all that comes to mind right now and I need to put this laptop aside because it is very warm and gross in my apartment and a warm laptop is not helping matters. Hopefully it won't be so long between updates again.
