Yeah, I remember that flow. I used to play a lot of netball, I was killer at it 'cos I played from the age of 7 to 12. And then I played basketball for a couple of years, but after a break and with a bit of a cigarette habit going... When I flowed I flowed, but usually for only about 5 minutes a game.
But yes, as you say, flow flows throughout. I find it more difficult to flow in yoga, i find that I still have to concentrate on each pose.
And thank you for fond thoughts. I feel warm and fuzzy now.
Have you ever thought of writting basketball prose or poetry?
Seriously son, you've put in a couple of lines the freedom and nirvana one can achieve while playing the game.
To that I say respect due
Dos- OK Sonny that knife stabbing deal isn't the only incident that's happened in the past year. You should write about how hard and hooliganish (is this a word?) your boys are.
Hell it got me to think twice about coming down to visit for a game's stay( I'm still invited right?)
Instead I'm just training harder in the gym, hooked up with a good lawyer, plastic surgeon, surgeon and made friends with a Yogi
Tres- The Happy meals are on moi.
In the words of the very Revered Monsieur Richard Vitality: "YEAH BABY!!!"
While I thoroughly enjoy the big-assed TV and would love to have a new car, I fully agree about the simpler things in life. I am going to endeavor to appreciate all things simple far more from now on.
Thanks for saying that about how I handled things with my little bro'. It's been really difficult dealing with things where he's concerned since the fight.
And yeah, I can kind of see your point about your brother, lol.
thank you for the excellent comment. i think you should call in a bomb threat on Nichol's Hall so i can come home and do naughty things to you. with my johnny cash shirt on.
Whats up homeboy???
Just sittin here listening to some RJD2, Deadringer. Thanks for that by the way.
Ohthe early days of the UFC. No weight classes, no rounds, three fights in one night. Thats hard-core man!!!
It took me awhile to get use to the new rules, but I actually like it better now because the fights are so much more competitive and evenly matched. Plus the skill level has gotten pretty extreme lately. I love it!!! Makes for exiting fights.
Unlike the days of Royce Gracie dominating the ground game or Keith Hackneys superb stand up. Then comes along Ken Shamrock, combining stand up with submissions. Ya, he had his day!!!
One of my favorite fights of those days was the one when Keith Hackney got to fight Royce Gracie. I actually had a dream about that fight before it happened. They were two of my favorite fighters at the time. Man that was a good fight (at first). Keith actually mad Royce stand up with him and fight his fight for a change. But of course Royce eventually got him down, then there was nothing Keith could dobut tap!!!
I actually saw Keith on one of the UFCs recently. He was the corner man for some dude Id never seen before. He looked quite a bit more yoked up then before. I dont know if hes hittin the juice or what, but he sure looked swelled up.
Hey, gotta jam for now. Ill check back with ya later and chat with ya about my recent set back. Thanks for the encouragement though. And yes, I am very spiritual believe it or not. What do you think has helped me get through all my junk?
Have faith man. The dilution of talent in the college game levels the competitive field. The cliche that any team can beat any other team on any given night is especially true in college basketball.
So you go write "Kansas is going to the Final Four." a thousand times and apologize to the team for doubting them.
Some stinky dude wrapped in burial cloth just knocked on the door and served me a subpoena! I have to appear before the 3rd circuit court of Egypt to testify about myself. Goddamned mummies.
In the military you get sent to "A" which is training you to do your job after "A" you have to option of going to a "C" is school is more specialized training in your field. ex. You can get sent to mechanic "A" and after that you can chose to go to a wielding "C" school, or Pump school, or Rigging. The "C" school i just went to is kinda different because, they were also civilian people attending it.
Hey man. Funny enough, I'm going along with K's Weight Watcher experiment. At first it was just so it would be easier on her to try it out. But then I started losing the weight too. Mostly it's just eating a lot smaller portions.....more realistic sizes.
you - "I swore that day that I would never turn down another offer for s'mores, and I never have."
LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
that is hilarious, and i also (dont remember ever being discouraged from taking food from strangers... my dad was black, and my mom italian, maybe thats why....) never turn down food being given away, that might be the reason why im about 230lbs but i think the bigger reason is im lazy =P
