Wait, are you serious about the smoking device?
I'm just not even sure where I'd put it.

NICE! It was a good night! Enjoyed meeting everyone it was an excellent performance. Funny, too - but in a room where the closest person is 30 feet away, folks are too self-consicous to laugh. I did, but I'm an easy audience. I've never heard of Nancy Vee, but that's excellent news.

What's a date?

Aw man...I really wanted to go! Perhaps I can make it out next time. I am glad to hear it went so well, that is awesome! smile
rawr_ima_monster:
I'll see what I can get in there. the ashtray would be easier, and I might be able to re-arrange stuff once it gets onto a canvas.
So you're still thinking 4'x5'? That's a biggun. I won't rush it, but if there's any way for me to get it done with the rest of the ones I'm trying to do before July 1st, I could so use the cash for PubSquat and recovery therefrom.
-After I buy the canvas, and really get a sense of the size and work that's going to go into it, I think I'll have a better idea of a timeframe and final price. Let's make sure we're thinking in the same ballpark though, as awkward as that is. I'm thinking somewhere between 3 and 4. thoughts? be honest.

rawr_ima_monster:
yeah a 2x3 for $250 seems right. I usually charge like 125 or more for the 11"x17" ones, so that's about right formulaically.
I wouldn't expect to get cash any sooner than I deliver the actual piece, unless there were some kind of specifically wierd circumstances, which I don't see on this. It's probably wishful thinking to imagine it will be done before July 1st, but that's when my big money concerns lie, so I'll do my best to try and get as many of these paintings done by then as I can. of course, having to go to NY tomorrow night and being there until Monday doesn't help with that, but I guess after-work working will be happening as much as possible next week.
-coolness man, this'll be fun. I won't rush it, but I want to complete it as much as you want it completed, and want us both to be equally satisfied and happy with it.

DAMNIT!

I knew I was forgetting something last night. I will make one of these if I can, but I think you're playing the same night as Neko Case ...
