Well, I went to my interview at Lucky Strike Lanes today.

The hiring manager took one look at me and I knew it was over. She saw my application, and said that since I only have 6 months restaurant experience, I couldn't get hired as a server.

Maybe I didn't look like an extra from Sorority Sluts-as the other servers did. Stringy blond hair, fake boobs, trashy as hell.

I know a brush-off when I hear one. The ad didn't specify that you needed exp.-only that you needed to be dependable etc.

What was so wrong with me that she wouldn't hire me?
I've been out of work for more than 2 weeks and I am at my wit's end. It feels so hopeless. I do the whole resume, cover letter, follow-up thing and still nothing.

I had this great lead at a salon-I had 2 interviews-talked to the owner for an hour, had the whole tour and introduction thing-it seemed it was in the bag. I sent in thank you note and everything. It's been 8 days and not a goddamn thing.

Wht won't anyone hire me? I have experience in most industries, I'm friendly and personable, I have a really flexible schedule--

what is so wrong with me?
