It's a lot of fun, actually. I've ripped the back seats out to build some storage for my photo gear so it's about 100lbs light than stock, but regardless it's quite peppy and fun to drive. It definitely can use all the help it can get weight wise, so I'll be getting some lighter rims.
The biggest annoyance about it is the seating position - while I'm sure some people like the SUV-like ride that seems to be so popular nowadays (it admittedly does make the car "feel" much bigger than it is) it just bugs me. So, with the combination of the race seat giving me a couple inches and some lowering springs I think it will be "just right".
Yeah, I'm a bit on the fence about getting coilovers. Part of me know that's that right thing to do, but the other part of me is a photographer and knows how many other things there are to buy. For what it's worth, Tein does make a couple adjustible coilover kits for the Yaris, although I think they're still hard to get here. TRD will be releasing their kit this summer.
I got about 35mpg on my first tank, and that was with pretty aggressive in-town driving.
Wow! Falling back in love with your ex...
I've heard of it happening before. We all change, so maybe all it takes is a little growing up and realizing how much that person really means to us. *shrugs shoulders* How long were you divorced for? Were you on good terms when you got divorced? Hope you don't mind me asking. I'm just curious...umm...intrigued really!

Certainly, for $11,000 you can't beat it.
