I can’t wait to take another soon! I’ve been trying to go at least once a month. We drove around some trails in the forest and found this cool spot with a lovely view and a small fire pit that was already built, which is always nice! Typically I pick one general location I know I’d like to spend time at, hike, whatever it may be. Then I drive around the area, branching out, looking for a private space with a view or something neat nearby. This is so much more fun then just driving up to a designated camping spot that you have to pay for that is close to other people without as much freedom, you know!?
Elvis loves looking out the window! He has such a great time in the car and on long drives. Always gets excited about where we are going and behaves so well the whole time! As we drove around the trails we discovered some cows.. and who doesn’t get excited about that!?
I’m so glad to have another little SUV that I can take off-road! Although I don’t have much free time, I’m doing my best to make out adventures work! I’ve been taking quick one night camping trips where I sleep in the back. It is so cozy! I have an air mattress that is made to fit with the seats folded down and it is the best. I recently was gifted a tailgate tent and I’ll be showing that off soon!
Honestly I have such a great time spending time in nature with just myself and my little dog hehe. I bring a book, we listen to music, dance a bit, enjoy the view. Watch movies at night in the back and look at the stars through my sun/moonroof. We often hike the next day, find a creek or some sort of water, go off-roading a bit and exploring different areas. Two day, one night camps really aren’t too bad although it doesn’t seem like much time. They’re so fun and I have so many more trips planned!
