I really wanted to respond to this awesome question, but I thought I had lost this draft and kind of gave up...but here it is! Go SG technical!
I have to answer this in parts, because it is kind of a long story, and to properly answer the question I'll need a few chapters. It's more than a decade of my life!
Back in 2003, I was just a skinny punk with one tattoo, fresh out of technical school with a GED, having just been accepted to the School of Visual Arts a year early. I worked at Forbidden Planet in NYC, and between school and work I was working my ass off. When I got accepted to school, I broke off my drug use (and hence all my drug friends) and my busy schedule was keeping me pretty solitary.
I can't recall how I found out about SG, but it was quite a buzz back in the early 2000's. I needed money, and it sounded fun:
Charlie - Bangalore
After my first set went live so many things began to happen. Invitations at my fingertips from artistic babes all over the world to hang out. I found a new forum to express myself and discuss my thoughts. I had an exhibition at @tina 's gallery in San Francisco, where she informed me (to my great pleasure) that I was "the lesbian favorite" of SG.
I got a message from @zaksmith through the site asking if I would consider posing for a painting. When I checked out his portfolio, I realized he was the punk dude who lived across the street from me was dating my uber crush of several years, Varick:
Damn that girl was fine. He said she thought I was cute but that I wouldn't approve of her fake tits and hence was intimidated. WHHHHAAAAAAAT??!
Anyway, he made this painting of me, we became friends, and it sold to the MoMA. We're still friends because he's mad fucking cool, and always has high quality female company (not to mention his partner in crime, the delightful super-babe @adria .
Aside from some much needed funds to support my artsy fartsy punk rock lifestyle, the main thing I have gained from SG is meeting some of the most amazing women I know, many of whom are very dear friends.
It started with @temper, when I was stuck in Berlin with nowhere to stay, she responded to my blog for help and put me up. We instantly became friends, and have hosted one another in our respective countries for years every since. I believe she also was the first SG I ever photographed (aside from myself).
@Temper - Engine Room
,
Next I met @albertine and @daria, who also instantly became friends and collaborators for life....@albertine was the only photographer I would allow to shoot me for SG for yearssss. With this amazing team of women, her on camera, me posing, and @daria on makeup, we won the set of the day award for my set Robot Fetish.
That day, I also photographed @albertine, also in makeup from @daria, for one of her final appearances on the site as a model.
@albertine, Figa di Dio
Figa di Dion was something she said to herself in the mirror, and I knew enough to understand that she had said "pussy of god". I was like, "Holy fuck, you can say that in Italian??" If you are observant or Italian I'm sure you already know that phrase later became my belly rocker. That tattoo was my birthday present to myself in 2008.
Anyway, from that point, in addition to posing, I became an SG staff photographer for a year or two. It was a great excuse to meet cool girls, make sexy pictures of them, and make use of ideas that I hadn't gotten around to for my personal work. Eventually, it got too competitive and it wasn't as much fun, so I moved on to other work. Unfortunately, with the site change all of my photography for the site got wiped off my profile, but here are a few of my personal favorites:
@gogo - Man Eater
@hunter - Bat Country
I really love her muff. It was very controversial at the time. Maybe it still is on here? I'm honestly a pretty big fan of pubic hair. It holds the pheromones and provides good cushion. I like to have my labia and ass crack smooth, because it makes all kinds of riding more comfortable. I wax these areas periodically, but the landing area is crucial to me and I refuse to give it up, unless I'm going to be performing in a VERY tiny pair of underwear. Even then, I once had a lady leave such a small patch that we started calling my pussy "Clitler".
Anyway, stay tuned for part II (maybe it will even be a trilogy), happy 420, happy Eostre.....mazel tov oooh la la and all that blah blah
