be safe man. i spoke with troops on pass from Iraq in Qatar when i was there, and all of them said it was basically a joke there. unless you get to go out with SF, expect to be bored, but keep an eye out for IEDs.

i'll send you stuff in the mail whenever you get out there...people have been saying they like getting things like beef jerky, gatorade powder, etc. - both good things for being out in the desert. if there are any other nice little treats that i'd be allowed to send you in a care package that you'd enjoy getting, let me know. i'll get the mailing info from your mom i guess. it was really fun hanging out with you, nicole, zach and your folks. i'll miss you, kiddo!
