When a guy says, "I really don't want to rush into anything. I'd rather know exactly what I want, and have a good future relationship than try to figure out everything in the beginning.", doesn't that usually mean, "Well, I don't really want a relationship, I'm just leading you on."?
He told me it's definitely not like that, but I'm just so paranoid that if we DON'T rush, we won't be together.

Paranoid and relationships don't mix. Don't let him think you're desperate cause that can only lead to problems. He's telling you up front where he's at and that is scaring you into trying to rush things, which could potentially scare him off. Try to play it cool give him the time he needs you are better off letting him figure things out than being a couple and him realizing that he doesn't want to be with you anymore. Not saying that will be the case though, just let him figure things out. But don't let him test drive anything either, if you catch my drift.
