So, where have I been? Well...
I haven't been on-line because BT hate me. Even though I moved to another Brodband supplier they charged me for three months advance bb which i didn't pay so they cut me off. Then on the next bill they charge me another three months bb even though i explained things very slowly to them on the phone. I'm sure BT call centres are housed within asylums. So now I'm properly cut off.
Also, I have been very busy urgently looking for a new place to live. Some of my regular readers may remember a horrible weekend I had when I had to evacuate my flat because of plumbing nightmares. Well, now my Evil Landlords are making a court claim about the 100 I took off them for a massive heating bill and they want me out by June 18th. It's really hard to find someplace good in Manchester but I'm getting ever closer by the day. Horrid grown-up unpleasantness should be sorted out soon though. I hope.
Also, I applied for a part-time job there a few weeks back and got an interview. There were 70 applicants and 14 were interviewed. I met the manager (also christened Adam) and the owner. We chatted comics and it was really casual and the owner was chuffed I had a standing order and I gushed about how friendly the shop was which made the manager look good. So, I'm in Liverpool visiting my old housemate Anna and I get the call. "Unfortunately," Adam begins and then explains that they were having a hard time deciding between three applicants and could I come back for a second interview. It was like The Apprentice I tells ya. So I go back and Adam and Owner (you can tell I've forgotten his name) were joined by Hot Blonde Chick Who Told Me About Clumsy One Time. So I'm in there for an hour, they ask me stuff like "What do you think about mainstream comics?" (interested but not really into them but don't hate them was the correct answer) and "If you could write for one superhero title and draw for another one what would they be?" (Hulk and Spiderman/Batman I say). It goes well and friendly and then they ask me to make a display with some open RPG games, knowing this is my weakest area of knowledge. And that went okay and then I went to work and waited for the call...
...but I didn't get it. Some other nerd knew as much about comics as me but also about the games so they had to hire him. The agony. But Adam (not me) said that they are expanding quite quickly and when they need someone else, though they couldn't say when, they are just gonna offer it to me. So that's good. Every cloud etc.
Also, check me out:
Legendary (scroll down for explanantion and my name)
Do a little dance, shake a little ass...
For the Legendary thing I'm going to do a 4-pager about Johnny Cash's fight with an Ostrich which ripped his belly open. True story.
Also, I AM intending to come to the SGUK Nottingham meet. I'll be sorting accomodation out this week and if it's going to be in a travelodge I'll get someone else to book it
I hope that satisfies as an update for now. I don't know when I'll be able to update again but I'll be checking out the SGUK boards for news about the meet while at work, all sneaky like.
Hope all is well and remember...
...Legoman loves you.

Balls for them messing you about so much and not giving you the job at the end of it, but the silver lining doesn't sound to bad
