Opportunities
Shawn and I watched "Thinking XXX" last night after I had put in about 15 hours with my contracts books.
The theme of "opportunities" was pretty strong through-out the documentary. Of course, all of the pornstars that they talked to had had nothing but wonderful opportunities from becoming pornstars. But it made me think: Are we really locked into our own set of opportunities?
If I had been 5' 9" with long, lean legs and big boobs, would I have cashed in and taken the "opportunity" to become a film pornstar instead of/before going to law school? If some of the girl pornstars that they talked to had been short and pudgy and flat-chested would their "opportunities" have made them more likely to go to college?
Then again, what about the pornstar they talked to who just got her Ph.D from Stanford?
Just a thought.
Gore Vidal was one of the talking heads. He said something along the lines of "once you have seen a lot of naked bodies they get really boring. They all kind of look the same. That is why you have to keep looking at new ones."
Thank goodness for SG. I think SG proves his notion wrong: maybe in traditional porn most of the bodies do look the same. But here at SG, the bodies are different, unique and fascinating.

). I think the subtle differences between bodies become more aparrent, more wonderful when you can see the self, the personality that belongs to that body, that person alone.
