I just now noticed on youtube that some men seem to fancy the idea of changing from male to female on a whim. Presumably with the intention of being able to change back again if they so desire. I actually like this concept quite a lot.
I mean think about it, a good many of us like to play dress up and even more still enjoy creating online avatars. Versions of ourselves that aren't really us. I and many other males who play MMORPGs are quite fond of playing the female characters so the desire to be someone you aren't is nothing new. While this is taking it to a whole new level I say "Why not?"
Gender flexibility gives us tremendous creative freedom. We would be able choose any clothing style we want at any time and even create a male and female version of ourselves. It would allow us to express those parts of ourselves that may not necessarily be able to come out any other way. By allowing ourselves to express those parts of ourselves by changing gender (all of this is of course assuming no outside judgement but that is another topic) we can truly become the person we were meant to be.
I personally, have become someone who thinks there really is no such thing as only male or only female people. Maybe we are mostly or nearly all one or the other but for the most part are mixtures of the two. I like to describe myself as a male doughnut with female sprinkles. So to me its a no-brainer. If I could change from male to female and back again at any time I chose I gladly would. Its a bit of a bummer being only one gender you know?
