Well, the problem with hotdogs is that Anaxarete and I love searching out great hotdog stands.
They don't have good bbq around here (which I also enjoy searching for), so hotdogs are all we have.
I guess neither is good for vegetarians.
But I feel like a hypocrite by eating meat.
I am violently pro animal rights and it is very important to me to live as ethical a life as I can.
You'd think tofu dogs (which I actually happen to like) wouldn't be much of a sacrifice.
But there you have it.
My hypocrisy.
It's actually what I feel most guilty about in life (I think because it would be so easy to remedy).
sjanett:
there actually was like a tropical storm yesterday night... the wind blew like mad and it did rain a bit... today everything was back to its normal hot, dry state... so strange!
polymer_boy:
it was just a warm up, I'm shy and I don't like to talk in the first chapter wink
polymer_boy:
I'm shy!!!

that's why I'm hidding... I'm afraid of you wink
junkiehead:
actually, not. yesterday they were playing at FIB Festival and i wanted to go. but oh, the money. i received a couple of calls of my friends so i could listen to them playing live, but i wasn't in the mood to pick up the phone. also, my alternative plan of a romantic weekend at the beach was cancelled by my girlfriend and her buddies making a party where i was not invited. bad girlfriend!! frown((( so i'm now heading to the beach with some , errr... beer buddies and we'll see what happens.

i know it 'll end with me totally drunken singing 'where is my mind' with my feet on the air and my head on the sand.

too hot here too!!!! they should sell water suits, maybe some kind of pool suit made of neopren. you would put it on and then you fill it with water trough a valve. it would be nice. ooo aaa
surlymike:
I've said it before and I'll say it again: enormous breasts with eyes in place of nipples are somewhat disturbing. biggrin
sjanett:
curious if the latest development is also typical american, or just plain typical male.. (read my blog to know what I mean) frown
polymer_boy:

winter_davis:
That is one of the things I miss most about Bemidji MN has its 10,000 lakes and rivers and ponds and a zillion freshwater sources everywhere. Chicago... does not.
afterbirth:

I dream the most crazy dreams all the time. They generally involve zombies, syringes, blood, and my rubber legs. That or sex.

What, not both at the same time?
whatever

morwok:
Bet-hedging is basically a way to direct energy away from reproduction so that there is no excess population competing for limited resources should there be some environmental collapse or resource shortfall. In highly variable environments it is beneficial to engage in bet-hedging activities so that populations can better survive such harsh conditions by virtue of their being at a lower carrying capacity and being able to give up the bet-hedging activities in order to focus on intensifying the exploitation of the remaining resources. It can potential explain such behaviours as play, sleep, and all sorts of other things. In archaeology it's been used to attempt to explain mound building, burial ceremonialism, and long distance trade among other things.
nikonphoto80:
wrong. eeek

you should have come, there is still lots of beer in my frig.
corpho:
I have had many nightmares with syringes in them. In one dream, my mother's boyfriend had turned into a zombie, and I had to kill him by stabbing him with a syringe, filling it with his yellow zombie blood, and re-injecting him with it over and over and over. I mean, what's a brain good for if that's the kind of imagery I have to be subjected to? Sheesh....
whatever
surlymike:
I'm so glad to know someone else who retained her wisdom teeth. I think that testykitty once suggested that I make them into a necklace. T'was a good idea, to be sure, but I'm not necessarily one for jewelry.

Mmm, glass bottles...

My fondness for carbonated sodas in glass probably dates back to my days visiting my grandparents in the US Virgin Islands. Glass bottles seemed quite prevalent back then and, of course, it was bound to make an impression on the young child I was. And, yes, beer in glass bottles always seems better, too.

I actually never had the PB&Tang. For the answer, you'll have to consult HolaGatita. She's the weirdo in question. biggrin

sophronia:

good to be back. when I was a kid i used to sit on my big couch and pretend that I was sailing across the ocean. reading about your davenport reminded me of that.
excuse me while I go clean the mud out of my ears now.
saphronia:

How have you been doing besides trying to cool off? Hope everything is well.
afterbirth:
I love that driveway too.
I do still see people from YA days.
I just got off the phone with Madelon 15 minutes ago!
She lives in India and is going back this week so she was saying bye.

Dave is one of my few friends who still lives in NYC.
I went to high school with him so we've been friends for25 years! shocked
And Richard lives in SF now, but he's kinda my best friend still.
Dan commited suicide 19 years ago. Jackass.
Bekah died a few years ago from a blot clot she got falling off a horse.
William was entirely erased from my life a few years after the journal.
And I guess I lost touch with all the rest...

I'll probably do a summing up/ epilogue when the journal's over.
madneil:
Oh god what an awesome weekend I had, had a really good time this weekend and haven't been in since the weekend.

Will update the journal later on!!!
polymer_boy:
I'm always Martini-ready biggrin

Your feeling of empathy is probably quite proper. I think that, for me, once the individuals choose to take such risks, the comedy factor goes up one hundredfold. smile
