Today I am supposed to start three new classes. I tried to go to my first one which was supposed to be 8-9:50 am. Since it is supposed to be on a different campus I got there at around 7:45 so I could find my class. My schedule says which campus it is, which building (A), and room 217. It CLEARLY says all that info. So I get there and a big sign says Nurse Aid RM 217. Hmmm...I got to the room and there's 5-6 people in there and I ask which class it is. Nurse aid they say. OK. I walk around asking every class I see that has someone in it, "which class is this?" No Intro to Criminal Justice to be found. So I go back to room 217 and wait outside the door. There's this other girl there and I ask her what class she's there for. Math she says. And her schedule CLEARY says for her to go to building A room 217. Hmmm...So I find a bank of offices and go there and tell them what's up. Nobody knows anything. So they move the nurse aid students to another empty room, no problem, and tell us to just stay there cause our instructor will be there shortly. Well shortly comes and goes. The math girl leaves. I get out a crossword puzzle. Another girl shows up. "Hi," I say, "what class are you supposed to be in?" "This one," she says. "No, I mean what class are you here for?" Intro to CJ she tells me. So I tell her what's been going on. It's now only 8:10, but it's the first day of class and nobody has showed except us and with room number thing it's feeling weird. So we proceed to go to back and forth between four different buildings looking for this class and talking to people in the offices of every building we go to. Nobody knows anything. In fact, they say that if we find anything out we should come back and tell them. At 9am we left. I'm going to call the other two campus and see what up. Hmmm...They did tell us it wasn't cancelled...and that maybe the teacher was lost...WTF? Get it together. This is college. Hope my other two classes tonight don't end up like this. We'll see.
