WHILE ON VACATION WE VISISTED MY WIFES FRIEND.. WHICH WAS FINE SHE IS REALLY NICE AND I ENJOYED HER COMPANY.. BUT I REMEBERED A STORY THAT MY WIFE TOLD ME TELLING ME SHE HOOKED UP WITH ONE OF HER FRIENDS BROTHER.. NO BIG DEAL ITS THE PAST .. BUT WHILE AT THE HOUSE I MEET ALOT OF MY WIFES FRIENDS FAMILY.. INCLUDING A BROTHER... WHO WAS A HUGE LOSER SO I DIDNT THINK ANYTHING ABOUT IT UNTIL SOMETHING SPARKED MY MEMORY OF HER STORY..WELL NEEDLESS TO SAY THE LOSER WAS THE GUY WHO MY WIFE HOOKED UP WITH..(FUCKED) .. SO I WAS A LITTLE BOTHERED BY THIS I AM NOT JEALOUS BY NATURE.. BUT I DO NOT WANT TO MEET SOME GOON WHO HAS SLEPT WITH MY WIFE..I EXPRESSED MY DISCOMFORT WITH MY WIFE AND SHE JUST DIDNT UNDERSTAND MY FEELINGS AT ALL. AND I KNOW IF MY WIFE EVER MEETS ANYONE OF MY EXS SHE WOULD FLIP OUT.. AM I BEING UNRESONABLE????
Feeling uncomfortable in the company of one of your wife's ex's is perfectly normal. I know I wouldn't want to be introduced to any of my boyfriend's ex's, nor would he be too enthused about meeting mine. The good thing, however, is that you are obviously much better than that guy which, I would think, only shows your wife is a smart cookie for being with you rather than a loser like him =) People make mistakes, you know =)
naw, man. i would be PISSED if a b*tch my boy hooked up with showed up at any family events ....shit, id be mad if he ever spotted one of them on the street. so, no, you're being completely rational (i would beat my boyfriend up if he told me i was overreacting.) be jealous because the situation's ridiculous. at least you're still passionate about her and your relationship....the day you become apathetic about things like that is the day your relationship starts to rot. so get mad and stomp around, dammit!
i've been going out with my bf for 2 and a half years now, and i have a basic idea of who he's slept with before me. i was a virgin when i met him, so i don't really want to think about it. somewhere along the way we decided that its not worth it to talk about old relationships, so if it comes up in conversation we just say to each other "oh no you were a virgin when we met, remember?" and laugh. it bothers me just talking about it.
i met him shortly after he moved to manitoba, from newfoundland (on the east coast) so i've only ever met 1 of his exes, but i know he wants to take me to nfld. and i'll meet more of them. hes still friends with a lot of them. its rough... you have to try to just not think about it.
at least the guy you met was a loser, no worries that she still thinks about him. the ex i met was a model! she was very good looking and cool. its hard to not get jealous and uncomfortable.
but like soporific and beta said, it means i'm still passionate about him, and he's with me, not cool model girl.
