edit: Never mind the question, I checked the group and saw your thread. I don't really know, either, never having worked in the field: you can claim US citizenship, but your boyfriend's status would be murkier. Have you tried calling the US embassy in London? Most embassies have officials that deal with immigration questions.

hmm, from what I have heard about U.S. Immigration is that it is a pain to deal with.
a close friend is currently engaged to a U.S. citizen and was planning on immigrating over there but her visa was denied, the only loop hole I know of is what a U.S. classmate told me.

It would probably be easier for him to come to you than it would for you to come to him.
