'Sing the song of Freedom' timothy r gates, 6/14/2008
Sing the song of freedom
not from another's war
another's fight
another's plight
I sing the song of freedom,
the only temple I'm called
from outside I'm pushed
from inside I'm pulled
this isn't my podvig
Sing the song of freedom,
intuition's silence
an ohm
a chant
a prayer
with my chotki,
others with their
lestovka, komboskinia, japa malas, rosary, misbaha,
and some a komboloi, worry beads
Sing the song of freedom,
the eye of the storm
hell is it's precipice
heaven it's roof
freedom, the mind's eye
old and new souls
stories told, stories retold
old souls know them both
there's only one known:
Sing the song of freedom
To-day.
