Hello again, all!
So, after a pretty trying week, things gave way to a much more pleasant and relaxed weekend. I got to spend some very nice time with the beautiful-even-when-she's-sick Spritely, built a Gundam model, made some delicious homemade chicken fingers (if I do say so myself), played some Rock Band, and...
...did some paintings!
It feels like it's been forever. I know it's only been a couple of weeks, but I used to be so much more productive. It feels good to accomplish something; more so when it's something I'm actually happy with.
So, for your (hopeful) viewing pleasure, I submit to you:
The wonderful and interesting Mistil
This one was a lot of fun to do. I stayed up into the wee hours experimenting with different things, and ended up deciding I really wanted to take it in a more design oriented direction. While I'm happy with the way the piece turned out overall, I'm disappointed that I wasn't able to capture more of what makes Mistil Mistil. I'd like to paint her again in the future, so hopefully then I'll manage to get it right.
Next we have the very cute striped_eclair
Again I got to do some more design type stuff with this one, but it was overall a much more relaxed piece to work one as I was going for just pure cute. Well, that and something that will hopefully look nice in my kitchen.
