I am restless and I dream.
I dream of my bed in San Diego
I miss longing for family and the quiet of my apartment.
I want to look out over the courtyard pool and tell myself tomorrow is a workout day.
I want to kayak mission bay on Thursday nights.
I want to worry about getting all of the salt out of my wet suit.
I want to wake up to the KTLA morning news and watch it until it ends.
I want to browse through a fridge full of healthy groceries from Ralph's.
I want to blow down the 8 and stare at the houses on the hills and wonder what the hell I would have to do to end up in on of them
I want a to eat a fish taco lobster burrito combo meal at Rubio's on the patio and watch the blond California girls walk by.
I want to watch the sun make everything look better than it should.
I want to lay on my couch watching a Buffy season I've never seen before.
I miss packing for a flight and wondering if I forgot anything.
I want to see the first glimpse of the green field when you walk out of the tunnel at a Padres game.
I miss the gas lamp, church softball, 16 lane freeways, good food from Vietnamese refugees, and I miss being healthy.
