Those pictures weren't Photoshopped. All I used was a cheap $25 digital camera with an infrared filter made out of the dark end of a piece of slide film. I taped the filter onto the camera with black electical tape. All very cheap and nasty.
I'm not that creative, the two cheap cameras should get most of the credit. I used a $25 digital camera for the shots in the infrared folder and $20 one for the shots in the Backyard folder. The various filters I used to get these shots were: one layer of exposed slide film, one layer of exposed color print film, two layers of exposed slide film, two layers of exposed color print film, and one layer of a Roscolux gel filter called Congo Blue (these filters are used to put over theatrical lights).
You don't need to spend tons of money to get interesting pictures.
