ST:TNG is one of my favorite shows of all time. If it's sci-fi you're after, I would also recommend the latest version (2004-2009) of the Battlestar Galactica series.

I've enjoyed The Expanse on SyFy now. It's been great.   Second the motion on BSG, it's fantastic!
