So....Christmas.
Christmas Day was a quiet one, with just me, mum, dad and my sister Jennifer. I was first up (of course) and bounded to my door and feverishly unwrapped the contents of my stocking at about 7:50am. Contents - 75p Ikea slippers (so comfy), satsuma, chocolate coins, an alarm clock (I already have like 5 - I collect them without realiseing) mini toy animals, and a book.
My parents woke up and went through to the kitchen, while I battered on my sister's door, practically having a prolapse waiting for her. I was eagre to get on with our traditional opening of the presents then pancake and orange juice nom nom breakfast, and before we did that we had to stealthily go downstairs and get the chair we got for dads present (his broke so we all chipped in and got him a nice comfy armchair) and bring it upstairs, then wrap it while Mum kept him occupied in the Kitchen.
So present opening time FINALLY came (seriously, I was practically peeing with excitement - I'm going to be useless to the world when I have kids) and I got an iPod docking station, Audrey Hepburn collection and a necklace from mum and dad, and handmade movie posters, necklace and nailpolish from my sister.
Spent the day watching Christmas tv with dad mainly, then Christmas dinner was had:
It was my first Christmas dinner since I stopped being a vegetarian, and it was damn fucking tastey. Mad props to my moms!
Boxing day was far more hectic. We had the four of us, Tim, My brother and his wife and two kids (boys - 7 and 2), my other (heavily pregnant) sister, her usband and two sons ( 4 and 5) and my aunt and uncle. We had a buffet, and much gift exchanging (a watch, slippers, socks, Black Books boxset, smelly stuff....I did well!)
We ate and laughed and had a really good day. Once everyone went home, Tim and I went downstairs to head to bed and swap presents. The lovely boy got me: a wooly hat with cat ears, a 'Mrs Sylvester Stallone' tshirt, 2 Fall Out Boy cds, the Christina Aguilera hits cd, Rescuers and Rescuers Down Under, Wall-E dvd and undies He did well
The next day we headed to his to see his mum, and she got my a lovely box of Lush stuff and West Side Story on DVD. Cocktail party was had, which I'm sure Tim will share the pictures of at some point, with my hair glowing spectacularly red, along with my cheeks.
New Year was a quiet one at Tim's with his Mum and stepdad and 2 wee stepsisters. Watched Indiana Crap and the Crapdom of the Crystal Crap. FAIL! I won't start though, but I've developed a twitch every time I think about it....
Since then it's been aaallllll about chilling out. Spent the majority of the week at Tim's on Baby Watch standby. My sister's baby was due on the 14th, but as a precaution due to some things, they decided to induce her on New Years day. Baby wasn't having it AT ALL and held in there until the 3rd. So on saturday, Baby Elise (my first Niece!!!!!) was welcomed into the world...
I know she will just look like a squooshed up little day old baby to you, but I am proud and doting and love those kids, so let me have my moment
So, now, in exactly 20 minutes, I will turn 22 years old (because I was born at 1:26am and I'm pedantic like that ). My wonderful boyfriend sent me a text at one minute past midnight to wish me a happy birthday, and me being the dickhead I am didn't get credit for my phone when I was out earlier so couldn't text him back. So thanks Tim
ALSO! Completely forgot, I bought my first car!!!!!
No better pictures I'm afraid as they all have the reg plate in them. It's a Nissan Primera S and I love it soooo so much. :B
Right, anyway, I should really be skidaddling off to bed now. Sorry for the rambles! Hope you're all having a good new year.
S xx
Enjoy the tapas, I'm jealous. Never quite made it to cafe andaluz.
